How the Wordle helper works
Type the word you guessed in the game, then tap each letter until it shows the same color as in the game: gray for “not in the word”, yellow for “in the word, wrong spot” and green for “right spot”. Wortfinder instantly shows every five-letter word that still fits, with the guesses that reveal the most at the top.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best first word in Wordle?
A word with five different, common letters. Before you enter anything, the list shows exactly those words, in English mostly built from letters such as S, E, A, R and O.
What if a letter appears twice?
Mark each letter the way the game shows it. If one E is green and the other one gray, the word has exactly one E. The helper takes that into account.
Does it work for the German Wordle too?
Yes. Choose “German” at the top and the helper searches a German word list instead. Your choice is remembered.
Does this page give away today’s answer?
No. Wortfinder does not know the daily answer; it only shows which words fit your clues. The guessing is still up to you.
